Picture with Santa

Every year I ask Tarin if she wants to go see Santa, she always does but she refuses to go sit on his lap.  From birth she has been content seeing him from afar.  It breaks my heart each that passes that I don't get a picture of Tarin and Santa. (Its the same with the Easter Bunny although thankfully for her friend Megan I do have several pictures with Easter bunny).

This year that all changed...the YMCA had an hour that Santa would be there.  I told Tarin that Santa was at the YMCA.  She asked if we could go! I was surprised but kept my cool...didn't want to get too excited.  She got her list and I asked do I get to take a picture this year.  Sure mom! I want to sit on his lap and give him my list.  I almost fainted.  I can't explain why this is a big deal to me it just is.  I'm sure all you mom's out there know the feelings that I'm having.

So off went to see Santa...

Santa was great!  He talked with Tarin for about 5 minutes, he asked her about her list (even kept it).  Knowing how busy Santa is this time of year, it was nice to see him take the time to visit with each of the kids.  When Tarin was finished, she admitted that she was still shaking and that it wasn't as scary as she thought it would be.
